Christmas hoopla is stealing all the headlines this week. But we didn't forget that, as of today, Gwen is 5 months old.
Because of a backup at our pediatrician's office, Gwen didn't have her official 4-month checkup until this week. She tipped the scales at 16 lbs even, and was 25 1/4 inches -- both of which are in the 80th percentile.
This was an up and down month for little Gwen. The "ups" included Gwen rolling over for the first time on December 1. She's also very close to sitting up by herself (although she still needs to work on her balance a bit).
On the down side, Gwen got 2 more ear infections this month (bringing her total to 4 so far this winter). Even worse, they happened only 3 days after she went off antibiotics for her first round of ear infections. As a result, Gwen's sleeping has been hit or miss. Some nights, she'll wake up once. Other nights, well, let's just say it's more than that.
Gwen is excited for her first Christmas later this week. And, despite keeping Mom and Dad up at night, we're sure she's still on Santa's "nice" list.
Here are some photos from Gwen's 5th month.
