Morgan is a thrifty shopper

Last week, Morgan helped Mom clip coupons from the Sunday paper.

In these tough economic times, Morgan thinks it's important to carefully find the best value for her buck. (Oh, and it's fun rip stuff up.)

Morgan's Bubble Bath

Morgan had her first bubble bath. Well, it was just some of her bedtime bath wash that we poured in the faucet. But she was very interested in the bubbles.

First she tried picking them with her hands. But she quickly learned that didn't work.


So, she decided that she would catch the bubbles in her mouth.

"What do these bubbles taste like?"

In the end all she got was a bubble goatee.

Birthday Party!!

On Saturday morning, Morgan went to Andrew's 3rd birthday party at First Steps gym.

When we got there, all the big kids were dancing. So far, Morgan seems to take after her dad when it comes to avoiding the dance floor.



Later, they brought out cushioned ramps and chairs for an obstacle course race. Morgan thought "Stairs that I can actually crawl on without Mom or Dad yanking me off? This is awesome!"



This week, Morgan figured out to clap. With all the fun stuff to do at the party, her new clapping skill was very handy.



Morgan walked across the balance beam, with a little help from mom.



Katie helped coach Morgan through the tunnel so she wouldn't get trampled by the big kids.



When it was snack time, Morgan enjoyed a juice box. (Well, she enjoyed chewing on the juice box.)



At the end of the party, Morgan sat on Katie's lap and posed with all the big kids.

Jungle Adventures

Morgan is still discovering new ways to play with her Crawl & Cruise Jungle (aside from the obvious crawling and cruising). This week she realized that when you stick a ball in the elephant's ear, it shoots out its trunk.



We're hoping this doesn't teach Morgan that stuff shoots out of people's noses when you stick it in their ears. (She hasn't tried on either of us... yet.)

Return of the Hat!

You may remember the gigantic, flower-covered hat that we used to demonstrate how much Morgan had grown between June and July.

Well, that gigantic hat doesn't look so gigantic any more.

Morgan @ 10 months

Morgan has made it to double digits!



Just like the last few months, this month was full of big developments for Morgan.

She's quickly learning how to walk. No "first steps" yet, but she cruises around the coffee table, and loves walking with her walker/shopping cart. She also likes climbing on the stairs. (Bad idea.)

She's started holding her own bottle when we feed her, and drinking from a sippy cup. She's eating more and more food (banana yogurt is her favorite).

She talks constantly -- and sometimes it actually makes sense. "Da-da"... "Ma-ma"... "Ba-ba" (which can either mean "bottle" or "bye-bye" depending on the situation).

One other thing Morgan has discovered this month: opening and closing cabinets. Here, she breaks the safety lock on the bathroom cabinet. Whoops.

Happy Snow Day!

Ariella and Morgan are home with a snow day. Schools are closed and so is Morgan's daycare. So, we are home. It is windy and cold outside so I though a cute photo of Morgan was in order.



Morgan loves walking with her shopping cart. She is getting pretty good but gets a little frustrated when she runs out of space.
