Morgan's First Slippers

We often use this blog to post the news of important milestones in Morgan's life. 

This is definitely not one of those posts.

Morgan got slippers. But they're not just any slippers. They're Elmo slippers. With big fuzzy Elmo heads. They're pretty ridiculous. Plus, they're too big. Even Morgan thinks they're silly. But they make her laugh. And that makes us laugh. So the ridiculous Elmo slippers are here to stay. 

Apple Picking

It was a crisp, clear Autumn day in South Jersey. After spending most of the day Saturday staining our fence, we decided to enjoy the weather by going apple picking. 

We took a hay ride from the farm out to the apple orchard, where Morgan grabbed a bag and quickly headed off to pick Empire, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious apples (What? No Honey Crisps?)

Morgan gathered up apples like a pro, saying "apple!" every time she saw one. Needless to say, she said "apple!" a lot on Sunday.

Before long, the bags were too full for Morgan to carry them herself. 

So she decided she would just point to apples instead. "There's more apples down here."

"C'mon, Momma and Dada... follow me!"

Once we finally caught up to Morgan, she posed for a photo with Momma.

Morgan worked up quite a thirst doing all that picking. So she grabbed some juice while we waited for the hay ride back to the farm. 

"Oh no, Momma! We forgot Dada in the orchard!"

"Oops, never mind... There's Dada... Hi Dada."

When we got back to the farm, Morgan wanted to play with the pumpkins. No, no, Morgan. We'll save the pumpkin picking for another blog post later this Fall. 

Rainy Friday at Home

Morgan and Ariella have a Friday at home with nothing to do. This is what Morgan decided to with her morning....

After breakfast, Morgan got down to business playing with her toys. She decided that it would be fun to take all of the toys out of her baskets and get in one. She climbed in all by herself with only a little need to hold onto something while she stood on one foot. Once safely inside, she then requested to be pulled around!

After the basket fun was over, she wanted to play with her blocks & penquins. She was stacking blocks and decided that her penquin should sit on top. Morgan managed to balance it all by herself too!

 

Morgan found her pj's and was trying to put them on. She didn't have much luck but, she handed them to momma for a little help. I think she thought that it was a nice outfit. No?

On her way to the kitchen, we decided that this chair needed to be moved.

 

After all of the furniture moving, it was time for a snack...

After snack time, Morgan and Ariella went to Target to get supplies to make cookies. At Target, Morgan thought it would be funny to run away from Momma while in the toddler clothing section. It wasn't hard to find her as she was squeeling with excitiment at the "game". 

This is the mess she made by 11:00 am with a trip to Target!

 

 

Well, I guess momma should clean up and get ready for round two!

ON fRIday, WE weNt tO the PArk, cOLOred, aNd plaYed outSIde. ON sATUrDAY, we WEnt to tHe aQUARiUm and to thE pARk! (TWo oUtinGs in ONe dAy? ARe yoU nUts?!? I'M jUSt a lITtLe kid!!!)

MOMma and DaDDy cAme homE on SUnDAy. I waS vEry HAppY to seE them, sO I couLd fINally gEt some REsT. :-)
