Morgan @ 3 months

As of August 3, the first quarter-year of Morgan's life is in the books.

In July, Morgan mastered the fine art of drooling, she blows bubbles constantly, and has learned a new word: "BBBBBLLLLLLP".

Morgan's first Road Trip

Catching up on some long overdue blogging...

A few weeks ago, we took Morgan on her first trip outside of the Garden State. Destination: Schenectady, NY.

Our first stop was our friends Susan and Keith's house. Their little girl Ava was VERY excited to meet Morgan. First thing Saturday morning, Ava helped Sue give Morgan a bottle...




In the afternoon, we spent some time by the pool...



And, just before bed time, Ava and Morgan finished off the day with some tummy time.



Speaking of tummy time, on Sunday morning, we stopped by to see our friends Jeff and Nicole, and Morgan's old pal Cooper. Here, the two babies compare tummy time techniques: Morgan opts for the "double-elbow peek-a-boo", while Cooper is a traditionalist who likes the "classic flop".

Morgan is growing so fast. Ariella decided to take another shot of Morgan in the same outfit the other day to see how much she has grown from June to now.

Trip to Aunt Kathy's

Morgan had her first road trip. On Saturday, we all piled into the car are went up to Aunt Kathy's in North Jersey.

Morgan had some company in the backseat for her first trip. She spent most of the time staring and flirting with Jon, while Aunt Jenny colored in a princess coloring book.



Morgan met her Great Grandmother Sakraida for the first time. She squirmed alot but really liked listening to her grandmother's voice.



Morgan also got to hang out with her Great Aunt Kathy.



In fact, she liked Great Aunt Kathy so much that she decided to suck on Kathy's wrist while she stared at her great Grandmother talking......



After all that excitment she was too tired to smile for Aunt Lindsay......

Diagnosis: She's a peanut

Morgan had her 2-month doctor appointment today.

She weighed in at an even 10 lbs, and measured 22 1/8 inches. Both of those measurements put her in the 25-50th percentile. So, for now, she's a little peanut like her Mom. (On the other hand, the size of her head is in the 50+ percentile. So, for now, she's got a big ol' noggin like her Dad.)

Morgan also had her first round of immunization shots today. She cried louder than we've ever heard her cry before, but she seems to be doing okay now.

The doctor was impressed with how well she holds up her head, and how much she sleeps at night. So, all in all, things are going great.

But, we realize none of you come to this website to read the articles. So here are a bunch of cute photos of Morgan from the past couple weeks:

Morgan @ 2 months

July 3rd marked Morgan's 1/6th birthday. In the last few weeks, she's started smiling much more often. She makes all sorts of gurgling sounds (some happy, some not so much). She's grown out of all of her newborn clothes. And this week, she slept through the night for the first time (9:30pm to 5am).

Morgan's 1st 4th

We kicked-off Morgan's first Independence Day by taking her to the 4th of July Parade in nearby Haddonfield.





Watching the parade pass by, Morgan summed up her feelings on patriotism as follows: "To me, America means liberty, equality, and the freedom to spit up on whomever I choose."



After a while, Morgan decided it was time for a mid-parade nap.



After her quick cat-nap, Morgan was alert, refreshed, and stopping parade traffic with her big smile.
