Morgan at 4 months

On September 3rd, Morgan turned 4 months old. At her 4-month doctor's appointment, she weighed in at 13 lbs/2 oz (up from 7 lbs/14 oz at birth) and was 24 inches long (up from 19 at birth). Both measurements put her in the 50th percentile.

This was another big month of developments for Morgan. She has gotten very good at using her hands. She discovered the joy of playing with her feet. She learned how to roll over. And, best of all, she started laughing.

This week, Ariella went back to work. So Morgan started going to day care 3 days a week. We were worried how she was going to adjust, but she made the transition without any problems. We're very proud of our little girl.

Morgan Cheers on the Orange

Labor Day weekend marked the kickoff of the Syracuse University football season. So we all put on a Syracuse clothes, ordered wings and pizza (side order of formula for Morgan) and watched SU take on the evil, elitist Wildcats of Northwestern (Aunt Linsday's alma mater).

Morgan and Otto got pumped for the game...



Syracuse scored on their first possession, and only trailed by 7 at halftime. So there was reason to cheer in the Saucier household...



Morgan suited up and was ready for a halftime snack...



Unfortunately, Syracuse ended up losing the game, 30-10.

Shortly after the game ended, Morgan spit up all over her Syracuse shirt in protest. (That's our girl!)

Boating with the Fricke's

Catching up on some long overdue blogging...

A few weekends ago, the three of us went up to Sandy Hook, NJ (near Ariella's hometown) to go boating with our friends Karen, Shawn, Katie and Andrew. So of course, Morgan had to get all dolled up in her boating outfit and boat shoes (courtesy of Aunt Lindsay)...



Karen, Morgan, Katie, Cabbage Patch Kid (sorry, I didn't catch her name) and everyone else all enjoyed a sunny summer day out on the river...









After we docked the boat, we took a swim in the pool at the Marina...






We've got Morgan trained to think that bath time means it's bed time. So after her swim in the pool, she instantly fell asleep. Whoops.

Morgan's Singing Debut

Morgan has become more and more chatty. But every time we get the video camera out, she just stares and stares at the camera. This is the best footage we have of her yet.

Mega-Saucer

Morgan has started to really enjoy standing up. So Ariella thought we would try out the Mega-Saucer that Karen and Shawn gladly donated.



Morgan just loves hanging out in it and observing her suroundings.

Morgan's first trip to the Lake

Last week, we took Morgan up to Connecticut to see Andy's parents, and meet the rest of the Saucier and Truax clans.

On Saturday, Morgan took her first official dip in the lake...





On Sunday, Morgan had time to hang out with Henry and Alex...





On Sunday afternoon, Morgan put on her yellow party dress and got ready to meet our extended family and friends.







Meeting and greeting is a lot for a little girl to take. So by mid-afternoon, Morgan was ready for a nap, and Ruth was more than happy to take a break from catering duty to try rocking-the-baby duty.

The rest of the week at the Lake was spent relaxing, enjoying the nice weather, and taking a whole bunch more photos...
