Christmas Wishlist

It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but Morgan is already in the Christmas Spirit. In fact, she's been perusing the toy catalogs for weeks.



"Oh... I want one of those! And I gotta have one of those! I'm not even sure what this one is, but Santa should bring me one."

Being the internet-savvy shopper that she is (she learned from Aunt Lindsay), Morgan set up a Christmas Wishlist on Amazon.com. See the link at the top-right of the page.

Also, Morgan would like remind everyone that she's been very, very, very, very good this year. (Well, except for those first couple of weeks.)

Morgan's 6-month Checkup

Morgan had her 6-month checkup Thursday afternoon.

She weighed in at 15 lbs/11 oz, so she's basically doubled her birth weight. And she is now 25 inches long. She is still in the 50th percentile for weight, but now she's in the 25-50th percentile for length.

While we were in the doctor's office, Morgan also got her third round of shots. She cried a bit, but took 'em like a champ. By the time we left the examination room, Morgan was smiling at all of nurses. The nurses couldn't believe she had just had her shots.

Morgan continues to broaden her diet. This weekend, we gave her peaches for the first time. Lately, she's also started trying to feed herself. (As you can see below, she still needs lots of practice.)

Lazy Sunday

After a string of busy weekends, we finally had a Sunday to relax at home. Of course, Morgan had other plans... she woke up at 5:30am and was ready to play.

Today, she discovered that it's fun to play with a whole basket of toys all at once.

"Hmmm... what do I want? So many choices..."



"Let's see... how about a rattle... and some stacking cups... and whatever this other thing is... and..."



After playing with everything in the basket, Morgan decided it was time to work on her crawling technique. She gets up on her hands and knees, but hasn't figured out how to move yet.



By late afternoon, Morgan was finally ready to relax in the big chair.

Morgan celebrated her Half Birthday this week. Needless to say, the last 6 months have gone by so fast, it's hard to believe it's been 6 months already.

This month was filled with more and more changes for Morgan. She started eating solid food in early October. Since then, she's gone from just eating rice cereal to eating sweet potato, green beans, carrots and bananas.

Morgan also started sitting up by herself earlier this month. This week, she's also started holding herself up on her arms and legs. Can crawling be too far off?

Trick or Treat

Morgan had her first Halloween. We went over to Katie & Andrew's house to go trick or treating with the gang.


Everyone gathered before hand, the big kids had pizza and ran around with excitment. While, Morgan just sat a watched all the kids.

It was another hard day for a little Kangaroo.
