Not quite big enough

Morgan's Grandmother and Mayie want to make sure that she stays warm. Unfortunately, Morgan isn't quite big enough for the clothes......

Ok, so we know we shouldn't encourage this. But how can you help yourself when she is having so much fun?

Morgan has a nemesis!

It's been a rough month for Morgan. She was sick over Christmas and took a good 2 weeks to get over the cold. She started a new daycare and promptly got a stomach bug. Fortunately, Morgan is finally starting to feel more like herself. Morgan has requested no photos while she has been ill but wanted to share a web site that her Aunt Lindsay created.

Another First for Morgan

Morgan says Hello!

Morgan at 8 months

Morgan hit the 8-month on Saturday.

This month wasn't really all that eventful for Morgan. I mean, all she did was get her first tooth, get her first really nasty cold (and her first nebulizer), learned how to sit herself back up, learned how to crawl, learned how to pull herself up to a standing position, celebrated her first Christmas, unwrapped a mountain of presents, and visited with the Saucier and Sakraida families for the holidays.

But other than that, it was a pretty quiet month. :-)

Crawling & Cooper

By Sunday after Christmas, Morgan had gotten over her cold and was ready to practice her crawling skills. After all, her pal Cooper was coming over to visit -- and he's a got a reputation in baby circles for being a very fast crawler.



Now that she's more mobile, Morgan is discovering all sorts of new places to explore. Underneath the dining room table is one of her favorites.



When Cooper showed up, he and Morgan discovered that they both got toy giraffes for Christmas.



Morgan: "Hey, Cooper which giraffe leg do you like to chew on?" Cooper: "I'm a fan of the back left leg." Morgan: "No kidding! Me too!"


Morgan: "Umm... excuse me, Cooper... that's MY dad you're crawling on! Hands off, bub."



After playing for a while, Morgan and Cooper got to open a few presents. The presents were great, but ripping up all the tissue paper was definitely the highlight.

Christmas Again

On New Year's Day, Grandma and Grandpa arrived from Utah. Which means that Friday was "Christmas Part 2" for Morgan with the Sakraidas.

Morgan unwrapped another pile of presents, which included new "big girl" bibs, and an alphabet caterpillar.





Grandma and Grandpa's "big gift" turned out to be the "Crawl & Cruise Musical Jungle"! As usual, Morgan was very intrigued by the pictures of little kids on the box.



This was Morgan's first experience with the phrase "some assembly required". So Morgan supervised while Dad and Grandpa put it together.





When it was all put together, Morgan quickly figured out how to pull herself up and hang out with the monkey, hippo and elephant.
