Morgan's Pool Party

Morgan had her first dip in the pool this week. Her BFF Cooper was in town, so they had a play date at his grandma's house.



Morgan was ready for summer with sunscreen, a hat, and sun glasses!



Even with all the UV protection, she still managed look cute...



We dipped her feet in first...



She seemed to like it, so it was finally time for our future Olympian to have her first official swim (thanks to Aunt Lindsay for the cool Speedo bathing suit)!











Morgan felt right at home in the water. In fact, she even spit up in the pool -- just like she does everywhere else (note the white spots on the front of her bathing suit.)



After all that excitement, Morgan finished off the day quality lap time with Mom.

Morgan's big week

Morgan had a very exciting week. This week, she started smiling more and more often (sorry, no great photos of that yet -- she doesn't smile on command yet). She's getting much better at grabbing objects, and discovered that playing with her dolly is a pretty good time.



And she figured out that shaking her lamb rattle is also a pretty good time.



Morgan's vision and observation skills also continue to improve. This week, she finally noticed the toy fish that rotate around over her head when she's in her swing. Now she's absolutely fascinated watching them go round and round.



On Friday afternoon, Dad took advantage of his summer hours at work, so Morgan took advantage of having a nice place to nap that afternoon...



Aunt Lindsay came for a visit this weekend. With her new observation skills, Morgan had a "Holy crap, you look like my Mom" moment.



On Saturday, Morgan put on her cute party dress and went to Katie's 5th birthday party...









At the party, Morgan took a whack at her first pinata...



After a few hours, though, Morgan was all partied out...



So we packed her up in her car seat and headed back home (making sure not to forget our mini-maraca from inside the pinata... look in her left hand)



By the time we got home, Morgan had taken a nap and was excited to hold the balloon Katie sent home with us.

Happy Father's Day!

For Andy's (and Morgan's) first Father's Day, Morgan modeled her new "Daddy's Girl" outfit. She also showed-off her new trick: smiling. (Well, for a little while anyway.)

Heat Wave

This weekend, the temperature in Jersey was in the upper 90's. So, we made sure Morgan was ready for the summer. Ariella picked out a cute sun hat for her to protect her little head from the sun.

Relaxing Bath

There's nothing like a warm bath at the end of a long day to help you relax, right? Morgan found that out first-hand the other night. In fact, she found her bath so relaxing that she slept (and snored) through the whole thing.

One Month of Morgan

Okay, technically Morgan's one-month "birthday" isn't until Tuesday. But today marks 4 weeks since she was born, so close enough.

In those 4 weeks, Morgan has gone from a screaming infant who kept us up at all hours of the night to a sweet little baby who only keeps us up certain hours of the night (from 2-3am, in particular).

She's also gone from nursing to formula. And, in the process, she's gone from her birth weight of 7 lbs/14 oz down to 7 lbs/3 oz, up to 8 lbs/5 oz, and kept going to whatever she weighs right now (probably about 9 lbs -- most of it in her chubby cheeks).
